ALBERTA WINES

Alberta Wines are a cooperative venture between cork and some of the Northwest's best wineries. Our goal is to produce affordably priced wines with strong varietal character that are fruit forward and ready to drink. In keeping with the spirit of the community, ten percent of the profits from the sale of all alberta wines are donated to local charities that contribute to making Alberta Street and the neighborhood a better place for everyone.

Wines made by cork's owner, Darryl Joannides, bear his Italian family's name VIOLA. His latest release is this full-bodied Sangiovese made with grapes purchased from the Nicolas Cole vineyard in Walla Walla, Washington. Grower Mike Neufer follows the VINEA sustainable growing guidelines for all of his vineyards and we were very excited by the quality of fruit. The wine was aged 14 months in once and twice used French barrels, then aged 6 months in bottle before its release in November. Come try a bottle today.
